Gene Landry
Founder and president Gene Landry has developed and distributed television programming for more than a decade and has worked in media for over 19 years. Landry began his media career in 1986 working the news desk of the CBS affiliate in Portland, Maine, rapidly climbing to a position as an award-winning news reporter in greater New York City, the nation's largest TV market. In the early 90's, Landry migrated from news to the development and distribution of television programming. Over the next decade he worked for such media start-ups as The Monitor Channel, CelticVision, and Resort Sports Network, lending his expertise in both programming and sales while negotiating with the nation's largest cable operators.
Persistence Media is named for Landry's boat, The Persistence, which supported his commercial fishing career before he earned a BA in Communications at the University of Southern Maine. Persistence has always been one of Landry's strongest business traits and is the core of the company's philosophy and success.
